I caught 4 shows in London ‘22 2 in Osaka ‘23 and 3 in London ‘24.
I honestly think they got stronger and stronger. The final show at RAH was intense and some of his “final” song arrangements were my absolute favourites… “My Own Version Of You” and “Key West” particularly so.
If I had to pick a low point then it would be the exhausting and exhaustive tour of Southern Europe in ‘23. I’m sure the shows were great if you attended, but from listening to the recordings, the shows became a little less energetic to my ears.
What a tour it was though.
This album is seared into my consciousness in a way that hasn’t happened since Time Out Of Mind.
Great comment! I am amazed that you felt like the low point was summer 2023! :-) Always interesting to receive the different perception of people!
I personally think, this years fall tour, esp. in the beginning in Prague, Erfurt and Berlin 1, it was faaar away from previous RARW tour legs, due to Donnie's absence and a new drummer. But it got better and better throughout the tour!
I saw him at Somerset, WI during the Outlaw Tour and followed all of the shows in Europe. I would have killed to see the performance of Murder Most Foul. I adored his wrench performance, but I must say that each clip I saw was better and better, and the final show at The Royal Albert Hall must have been amazing to see. I was smitten before Somerset, and I have pledged my complete and undying love ever since. I am under the spell of The Magician, I fear, for the remainder of my life! 💋🌹❤️

I actually prefer the band with Donnie. The sparser, the better for me!
Without Donnie you mean I guess? Interesting! I personally thought that it's better to have him in for some RARW songs. :-)
Oh! Yes ... thank you. My sentence was too sparse.
