Yesterday morning, the first rumors started to come through that Bob Dylan joins Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival again, for the second year in a row. Over the day, more and more sign appeared throughout the world wide web, dates started to pop up on expectingrain.com and StubHub but it was when nobody else but the great Bill Pagel started to post all (34!) Summer Tour dates on his website boblinks.com that things really started pickin’ up speed!
This time, the Outlaw Music Festival schedule even contains 4 parts compared to 3 last year and this years total of 34 (+picnic) shows beat the 25 (+Picnic) shows of last year also, obviously!
There are a couple of gaps in the schedule still that might be filled, still.
Bob’s Birthday Show Facts:
The schedule even includes a concert on Bob Dylan’s birthday on May 24! He hasn’t played a show on his birthday since 2008! Besides 1966 in Paris, France and 2000 in Dresden, Germany, those three shows have been the only shows Bob has played on his birthday up until this year!
All tickets will go on sale coming Tuesday, February 4th!

As you see, besides the typo, Nathanial Rateliff, who was supposed to be opening for Dylan before the pandemic hit, is now on the bill!
Other big names on the bill include Wilco, Sheryl Crow and Lucinda Williams. And of course many other great supporting acts!
As usual with the Outlaw Music Festival, the setup of acts is often changing with Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan being the constant throughout.
Not confirmed yet but highly likely to also happen is Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic!
