The Bob Dylan Week in Review
Five Shows Left as Bob Keeps Hiding on Stage | Spare Ticket Corner (Front Row's Added)
The fourth and final leg of the 2025 Outlaw Music Festival has kicked off, with shows in Bangor, Hartford, and Mansfield now behind us. The setlists have remained nearly identical across the three performances (only change in slot 6, with Gotta Serve Somebody replaced by Early Roman Kings in shows 2&3), but Bob’s delivery has been described as sharp and commanding.
Yet, the real talking point of this leg so far has less to do with the songs themselves and more with Bob’s stage presence, or, better framed, his stage absence. Fans and critics alike have noted how thoroughly he has “hidden” himself from view: seated behind a grand piano with a music stand placed on top, flanked by not one but now two illuminated trees, and even performing in a rain jacket with the hood up. The effect is striking and unusual, even by Bob’s own standards. Rolling Stone recently covered this in detail, suggesting Bob is taking extraordinary steps to avoid being photographed.
With just five shows remaining—Camden, Holmdel, Columbia, Noblesville, and East Troy—the end of the 2025 Outlaw Tour is firmly in sight. Soon after, all eyes in the Dylan world will shift toward Europe and the highly anticipated fall tour.
