Bob Dylan News Update
"The Times They Are A-Changin'" Returns! | Fall Tour London Rumors start popping up! | Chronicles Confusion?
Chronicles Vol. 2 — Or Just Chronicles Vol. 1 (Again)?
Remember when Sean Penn casually mentioned in a podcast that he was about to narrate Chronicles II for the audiobook? The Dylan world lit up. But it now seems more likely that what he was referring to was not a brand-new volume — but rather an expanded and completely unabridged recording of Chronicles: Volume One.
This new version (coming out on November 18) is reportedly twice as long as the original 6-hour audiobook, and still features Penn as narrator. A treasure for anyone who wants to hear every twist and turn in Bob’s own prose. But as for Volume II? The wait goes on.

“The Times They Are A-Changin’” — Returns to the Setlist
At his show last night in Franklin, Tennessee, Bob brought back The Times They Are A-Changin’ — for the first time live in concert since August 16, 2009 (Fresno, CA) and the first time in any setting since that legendary White House performance for the Obamas in 2010.
The song has long been retired from the setlist, replaced by newer classics. But last night, for whatever reason, it was back — and it felt momentous.

Fall Tour Rumors — Now with a London Twist
Whispers continue about a possible Bob Dylan Fall Tour in Europe. Most recently, we’ve heard unconfirmed talk of three London shows “toward the end of the year.” Nothing solid — no dates, no venue names — but the rumor mill is spinning again. (And the Royal Albert Hall would have a lot of free slots in their event calendar, still!)
If a European tour is indeed happening, we expect an official announcement in the first half of July, most likely on a Monday, which has historically been Bob’s go-to day for tour drops. Watch July 7 or 14 — but you’ll read it here, first!

Thanks, you’ve answered a question I’ve been confused about too, re: Chronicles v1. Now the full volume read by S. Penn. Yay!
