The 2024 Outlaw Music Festival Tour | Van Dyke Parks about Bob Dylan

Now 83 years old and he’s still rolling. With a 3-legged Summer Tour coming up where he'‘ll accompany his long-time buddy Willie Nelson, we can expect some major changes in both Dylan’s setlist and band almost certainly.

The “Listen Carefully with Nathan Jolly” Podcast

Van Dyke Parks was recently on the “Listen Carefully with Nathan Jolly” Podcast, where he gave an interesting answer to the question if anybody else but Brian Wilson ever asked him to write lyrics:

“I know you’re not gonna believe me, but I got an e-mail last year from Bob Dylan’s manager. Bob Dylan asked me to write lyrics for a song and I’ve done that. And that astounded me. Then my family was thrilled because it reminded me that Bob Dylan, whose lyrics have really created my life."
